Victoria Lace Shawl #2 - Complete!
This is my second Victoria Lace shawl from St. Seraphina Knits. The first one was in DK weight yarn; this is in a light worsted weight yarn. The yarn is Knitaly from Colorado Yarns in a pretty teal blue. I used 4.5 100g skeins of yarn and a size 8 32" Addi Turbo circular needle. The final measurement is 23" by 78". And like all the others, this will be given to a cancer patient at the local cancer centre.

Mari you are my Hero!! Such an amazing knitter!

Nah, I'm just a knitter with a cause!
Thanks for your kind words!
I would like to knit this for our cancer survivors at our local hospital. Is there any way to get the pattern? I have 20 skeins of Encore DK in a nice heather.
Don't know how we would exchange e-mail addresses, etc.
Anonymous, the pattern is available at both www.nakedsheep.com and www.elann.com. It's about $5.50. It's copyright so I won't make a copy for you. You'd need anywhere from 800 to 1000 yards of DK yarn, so you have more than enough to make this shawl.
Check out those sites...both stock the St. Seraphina Knits patterns. It's worth the investment!
Thank you for the information. I went to our neighborhood yarn shop and found the pattern there this afternoon.
It's always good to have a photo of what you're trying to explain.
Happy knitting.
You'll find that the pattern is very easy to memorise. I can now take it with me everywhere without having to haul the pattern around!
I know you'll love making it!
Happy knitting to you, too!
Mari, that shawl is just beautiful and in my favourite stitch pattern. What a great cause it is going to, well done.
Mari...all your shalws are just so beautiful!!! I don't think I can even knit 1 and you've knitted so many!!!!
Thanks, Sharon!! And Michelle, you CAN make a shawl!! It just takes a bit of concentration for the first few rows! This one is a great one with which to start. The pattern is very simple and requires very little concentration. If I can knit shawls, ANYONE can knit shawls!
Mari,
Your work is magnificent!
